How to login to Okta account? ›

Usually the login page is “companyname”.okta.com. Alternatively, if you were sent an activation link email, the sign in page will be in the email body.

To find your Okta URL (also called an Okta domain): Sign in to your Okta organization with your administrator account. Locate the Okta domain by clicking your username in the upper-right corner of the Admin Console. The domain appears in the dropdown menu.

Uninstalling Okta Verify, Changing Phones, Transferring or Restoring your Phone Data, using Mobile Phone Cleaning Apps, or Resetting your Phone are some of the things that may result in the binding being broken between your phone and Okta Verify, and you will need to re-enroll your device in Okta Verify.

If you don't know your username, contact your company's help desk who set up your organization's Okta accounts. If you forgot your password, use the Forgot Password link at the bottom of the sign-in page to generate a new one. If the link isn't available, contact your IT department.

To access your applications, go to the Okta Dashboard in the mobile browser, or tap Open dashboard in Okta Verify. To check if you use Okta FastPass, open Okta Verify and tap your account. If Okta FastPass has a green check mark, your organization uses the Okta FastPass sign-in method.

Okta generates credentials for you (called a client ID and client secret) that you copy into your code to associate your project with the Okta app integration.

The default format for Okta usernames is an email address. To give you more control over the format of Okta usernames, you can create a custom character restriction that replaces the email format constraint with a specific set of allowable characters.

Each organization also has an administrator URL to sign in to the administrator console. The admin URL is the subdomain plus -admin (for example, companyname-admin.okta.com ).

Sign in to your organization's app dashboard to access apps protected by Okta. In your browser, type your organization's sign-in URL, such as https://example.okta.com, or https://atko.biz. Enter your username and password and follow the authentication prompts.
