All above grapes are on FREEDOM rootstock. Freedom is a grape rootstock that is resistant to Armillaria, tolerant of calcareous soils, and high in vigor in fertile soils. It is the offspring of two open-pollinated parents (1613-59 and Dog Ridge 5), which are sources of root-knot nematode resistance.
Freedom rootstocks can be used to control vegetative and reproductive activities of grapevines by modifying vine physiology. Some benefits of using rootstocks include:
Resistance to soil pests, such as Phylloxera and nematodes.
Promotion of a more extensive root system to improve tolerance to drought.
Tolerance of calcareous soils.

These 15 types WINE grapes have delicious taste and can be eaten raw (Plant in warmest part of garden). If you google to learn more about them, please add grapes to the suffix or else the google results will be only for the wine and not the raw grapes (which are sweet and delicious!)

Cabernet Franc is a red wine grape variety that's known for its brambly berry and wild strawberry notes, as well as its bell pepper and herbal qualities. It's one of the most widely planted grapes in the world and is traditionally grown in France. Cabernet Franc is often used as a blending component, but it can also be used on its own. It's lighter than Cabernet Sauvignon, making a bright pale red wine that contributes finesse and lends a peppery perfume to blends.

Cabernet Sauvignon is a red wine grape variety that is grown in many major wine producing countries. It is known for its flavor, quality, and ability to age well in oak. The grapes are used to make dry red wines with flavors of ripe black fruit and spicy, earthy notes. Cabernet Sauvignon is a product of a chance crossing between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon blanc grape plants in southwestern France during the 17th century. The grapes have thick, durable skin and the vine is resistant to the elements.

Chardonnay is easy to grow and can be made in a wide variety of styles, from crisp and refreshing to velvety and generous. The flavor profile depends on where the grapes are grown and how they're made. For example, grapes harvested earlier or grown in cooler climates have more citrus notes, while warm-climate Chardonnays have less acidity and more ripe fruit flavors.

Grenache Noir is a red wine grape variety from the Mediterranean that is known for its body and power, which gives its wines a mellow tannin and round taste. Grenache Noir wines are medium-full bodied, have medium acidity and tannins, and contain over 15% ABV. They have aromas of sweet black cherry, dry fig, tobacco, mocha, white pepper, licorice, tar, black olive, and garrigue, and a taste profile that is spicy and generous, sweet, dry, and medium acidity.Grenache Noir is the darker-skinned member of the Grenache family, which also includes green-skinned Grenache Blanc and mauve-skinned Grenache Gris. Grenache is one of the most widely planted red wine grape varieties in the world, and ripens late, so it needs hot, dry conditions such as those found in Spain, where the grape is believed to have originated.

Malbec (pronounced [mal.bɛk]) is a purple grape variety used in making red wine. The grapes tend to have an inky dark color and robust tannins, and are known as one of the six grapes allowed in the blend of red Bordeaux wine. In France, plantations of Malbec are now found primarily in Cahors in South West France, though the grape is grown worldwide. It is also available as an Argentine varietal. The Malbec grape is a thin-skinned grape and needs more sun and heat than either Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot to mature.[5] It ripens mid-season and can bring very deep color, ample tannin, and a particular plum-like flavor component which adds complexity to claret blends. Sometimes, especially in its traditional growing regions, it is not trellised but is instead cultivated as bush vines (the goblet system). In such cases, it is sometimes kept to a relatively low yield of about 6 tons per hectare. Wines produced using this growing method are rich, dark, and juicy.

Merlot grapes are a dark blue variety of red wine grape that originated in the Bordeaux wine region of France. They are the most widely grown grape in the region and are known for their soft texture and fruity flavor. Some of the flavors that merlot has include:
Red fruits, Plums, Summer pudding, Chocolate, Baked figs, Gentle spices, and Vanilla.
Merlot is a dark blue–colored wine grape variety that is used as both a blending grape and for varietal wines. The name Merlot is thought to be a diminutive of merle, the French name for the blackbird, probably a reference to the color of the grape.

Muscat Ottonel is a white wine grape variety that originated in France's Loire Valley in 1852. It's believed to be a cross between Chasselas and Muscat d'Eisenstadt. The grape is the most delicate member of the Vitis Vinifera Muscat family in terms of color, aroma, and flavor. Muscat Ottonel or Muskat-Ottonel is a white wine grape variety that is a member of the Muscat family of Vitis vinifera. It is most notable for its use in dessert wines from Austria, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Croatia and Serbia as well as dry wines from Alsace and Hungary.

Orange Muscat grapes are a white grape variety with a strong orange aroma and taste of orange blossoms. They also have other powerful aromatics, including apricot, pear, and spicy fruit. Orange Muscat grapes have a relatively lush mouthfeel and share some characteristics typical of the Muscat family of grapes. Muscat grapes are characterized by an intensely aromatic bouquet and a musky, fruity (mandarin orange, apricot, peach), honeyed flavor. Muscat grapes are used as table grapes, raisins, and for wine production.Muscat grapes can be expensive because they are rare and have a higher sugar content than other grapes. For example, Shine Muscat grapes can cost $25–$40 per bunch in supermarkets, but can reach $100 per kilogram or more at department stores. In Japan, Shine Muscat grapes can cost $9 for a small box of five grapes.

Pinot gris grapes prefer full to 1/2 day sun and well-drained soil. They are drought resistant once they are established. Pinot gris, Pinot grigio or Grauburgunder is a white wine grape variety of the species Vitis vinifera. Thought to be a mutant clone of the pinot noir variety, it normally has a pinkish-gray hue, accounting for its name, but the colors can vary from blue-gray to pinkish-brown. Pinot gris grapes are native to France, but are now found in wine regions all over the world. The major growing regions are Alsace in France, northeastern Italy, and Oregon in the US. The grapes thrive in cooler climates, which can lead to wines that are sweeter or high in alcohol. Pinot gris grapes are early-budding and early-ripening, and produce relatively low acidity.

Pinot Noir grapes are a variety of red wine grape that belong to the Vitis vinifera species. The name comes from the French words for pine and black. Pinot Noir grapes are one of the oldest domesticated varieties of vitis vinifera, which is the vine that produces the world's most famous wine grapes. They are known for being challenging to grow, but respond well to tender care. Pinot Noir grapes are black-skinned and thrive in cooler climates. Unlike many wine grapes, the skin of Pinot Noir grapes is thin enough to eat as a snacking grape. The grapes can also be used to make a non-alcoholic grape juice or preserved to make jams and jellies.

Riesling grapes are known for being one of the world's hardiest grape varieties, with high frost resistance and ability to thrive in cool climates. Riesling grapes have skins that are rich in antioxidants, which may help fight off certain chronic diseases. Riesling is a white grape variety that originated in the Rhine region. Riesling is an aromatic grape variety displaying flowery, almost perfumed, aromas as well as high acidity. It is used to make dry, semi-sweet, sweet, and sparkling white wines. Riesling wines are usually varietally pure and are seldom oaked.

Sauvignon blanc grapes are green-skinned grapes that originated in Bordeaux, France. The name likely comes from the French words sauvage ("wild") and blanc ("white") because the grapes were originally indigenous to South West France. Sauvignon blanc grapes are typically high in acidity, full-flavored, and have mineral, grass, and grapefruit notes.Sauvignon Blanc is a moderately vigorous variety and can grow in almost any climate! It makes for a wonderful first back-yard grape, and is delicious to eat straight off the vine as well!

Shiraz grapes can also be consumed fresh, out-of-hand. Their unique peppery and somewhat gamey quality makes them perfect for pairing with charcuterie and aged cheeses. Shiraz grapes, also known as Syrah grapes, are a dark-skinned grape variety used to make red wine. The grapes are red-skinned, giving the wine a deep ruby-red to purple hue. Shiraz is considered a noble black grape variety because it can produce wines that age well. Shiraz wines have rich flavors of blackberry, black plums, and blackcurrant, with notes of spice, coffee, leather, and liquorice. With age, Shiraz wines develop gamey and truffle notes.

Syrah, also known as Shiraz, is a dark-skinned grape variety grown throughout the world and used primarily to produce red wine. In 1999, Syrah was found to be the offspring of two obscure grapes from southeastern France, Dureza and Mondeuse Blanche. Syrah grapes are most often used to make wine, but they can also be consumed fresh, out-of-hand. Their unique peppery and somewhat gamey quality makes them perfect for pairing with charcuterie and aged cheeses. They are also less sweet than the traditional table grape and produce a juice that is decidedly more tannic.

Zinfandel grapes are a variety of black-skinned wine grape that are primarily used for making wine. They are known for their fruity, raspberry-like, and aromatic flavor, and are the fourth most planted wine grape in California. Zinfandel grapes are grown in most of California's grape-growing regions, but the largest plantings are in San Joaquin, Sonoma, Fresno, Madera, Amador, Mendocino, and San Luis Obispo Counties. Zinfandel grapes are drought resistant once they are established, and prefer full to 1/2 day sun and well-drained soil. Zinfandel grapes can be enjoyed on their own as an aperitif before dinner, but if you are pairing, it is recommended to drink it with barbecued red meats, roasted chicken, or a pizza.
